Biking in Seaside

I have never rented bikes in Seaside before.  Last week our family rented a nine person bike.  It was a lot of fun:)  We had a bit of a hard time pedaling and around hour one and a half we realized why.... one of the tires was almost flat!  After we got it pumped back up it was smooth sailing:)

The lady was super nice here.  I highly recommend renting here:)

And we were off!

I took many pictures on our trip.  We were all dreaming of where we could buy a house.  This one isn't my dream home, but we thought maybe we could all pitch in and buy.... not the case:(

I am forgetting why I took some of these pictures, I think I just wanted to stop the bike and have a break:)

Ahhh, this is more like it!  I love the cedar shakes.

Love the licence plate.

There is something about how flowers grow at the beach.

There is  my whale!

These steps were so pretty.

I wish I could have peeked in here.  This was a "shed" in someones backyard.

The "sheds" yard.

The "sheds" house.  I could live here, or even in the "shed":)

Love this:)

The french doors and window baskets are so fun.

This concludes my week at the beach.  I hope you enjoyed seeing all of the sights.

Happy Thursday to you!

Wyndem Seaside Resort

Last week we stayed at the resort at Seaside.  One of the things I love about this place are all of the canvas black and white pictures of Seaside in the past.  Here are some of my favorites:

Look at the woman walking in the water in her dress:)

I love the man with the suit and hat:)  Look at the old cars... so fun!

So much fun to think about the old days:)

Happy Wednesday to you.  I see the sun:)

Pacific Crest Cottage

Good morning,

Yesterday I shared one of my favorite stores at the beach, today I am going to share with you my second.  The shops owner is Joy.  When I visited her shop on Wednesday she had just gotten back from a buying trip to France and England.  Can you imagine owning a shop that allows you to travel to France and England to buy pretties?  Here are a few pictures of her shop:

Her shop is located in Gearhart.

Look at this pillow.  It is made of felt.  It was so beautiful, $98 beautiful:(

There are two things I loved about the picture frame:  First is the back ground with the wire and second are all of the goodies attached.

As I am uploading all of my pictures for this post, I forgot that I was having camera troubles that day and the rest of my pictures are blurry:(  Anyhoo, this is a great shop to just oogle over.

I hope your Tuesday treats you well.

Sesame and Lilies:)

One of my favorite stores at the beach is Sesame and Lilies located in Cannon Beach.  I think I drooled all over the store:)  There is just one problem.... it is EXPENSIVE.  I don't mean just a little spendy but $3,000 spendy for a chair!  I did have fun taking many pictures for you all to see:

I love this!  The D is made out of metal.  I looked all over for a G but had no luck and this was cheap for this store at $15.  I came home and googled everything I could to see if I could find it on line but had no luck.  If you find it, PLEASE let me know:)

The chandelier, the table, the table runner, the chair in the back right... so  much pretty eye candy.

This chandelier was absolutely beautiful.  I think the price was about $1,000.  Not too much:(

The shells, the shells, the shells!  I was truly in heaven:)

This table was also amazing!  Look at all of the glassware.  The chandelier also was quite spectacular.

I could have taken pictures all day in this shop:)  However, my battery was going and I don't think Wayne wanted pictures of stuff when our beautiful kids were with me:)

I hope you all have a happy Monday.  Try and stay dry because it is WET out there.

So much to talk about:)

Hello all,

Happy Easter to you!  Our family went to Easter service last night and I just got out of my jammies at 2:30pm.  We are in need of a lazy day.  My sister and nephew left back to Massachusetts last night.  We had a great week together at the beach.  I cannot wait to show you all of the things we saw and found and did while on vacation.  The most important part was all of the shells we found.  Each morning we went walking on the beach around 9am.  Each morning we found about 40 whole sand dollars and in total 12 baby sand dollars!  I was hooting and hollering up and down the beach:)

The amazing thing was they were mostly just laying in the sand just like these pictures!  I'll show you later where I put all of them:)

I hope you all have a wonderful Easter full of love and fun memories!

NO MORE ANTS!

Good Friday afternoon to you:)

The ants are all gone!  I highly recommend this product that I found at Home Depot:

So this is TERRO liquid ant baits.  You put about four traps out where the ants are and let the ants go marching in.  You must not kill them because they take the bait back to the nest.  We must  have had a major infestation because it took 6 days for all sign of ants to be gone.  This is so much cheaper than hiring an exterminator.

I have started liking pottery.  I used to think all of it was so ugly.  I am not sure if I am becoming more wise, eclectic or what but there is now pottery in my house.  I love the blue color in this pot.

The colors are so beachy:)

I already showed you my little funnel I found, well now I have its mother:

I wasn't sure what to do with it.  I was able to get my hands on more of these yummy yellow flowers:

These last forever~

I got an idea in my head:

Why not put them all together?  I like:)

What do you think?

Happy Friday to you.  My sister and my nephew just flew in from Massachusetts and I will be busy so this may or may not be my last post for a while.... we will see.

Happy weekend!

Things that make me smile:)

This is my motto for today:)

I don't know about you but I am ready for my toes to hang out no matter what the weather is doing:)

Such a sweet bunny for $1- I love it more because of the price.

I found this a while back and am thinking of ideas for it.  It is so cute!  Maybe hide candy for me inside:)

I hope your Thursday is treating you well!

Flowers & aprons & bee catchers oh my!

Good afternoon,

Well, I took yesterday off due to World War 50 and 51 happening at my house with kid DRAMA.  Today is a much better day:)  I got to go on a play date with my friend Anita.  We had such fun at Goodwill, The William Temple House & Sammy's flowers.  I have found that Sammy's flowers last so much longer than New Seasons flowers.  So, without further adooo,

Look at the size of this Delphinium!  Isn't she gorgeous?  Her stock is so big I had difficulty finding a vase to put her in.

At William Temple House Anita found a lovely black iron outdoor table and four chairs.  It is going to look lovely in her back yard.  I found a beautiful apron.  The funny thing is this apron is for looks only.  I will think of it as lingerie for cooking:)

I love the sheerness of it and the delicate flowers embroidered on it.  I am sure my food will be much better served with this on.... don't you?

Anita knew what this was.... I did not, do you?

It is difficult to see but there are bees etched into the glass.  I will need to google what you put in the jar to attract bees.  The bees fly up into the jar from a hole in the bottom and then they can't get out....  I think this is much prettier than those yellow contraptions you put out to collect bees don't you?

And last but not least, I found these words of wisdom for us today:

I hope your Wednesday is fabulous:)
