This & That to Smile about:)

Happy sunny Tuesday to you:)
I LOVED the two comments sent to me yesterday!
Keep them coming:)
It makes me feel like I am not alone out here in blog land.

Today I am finding myself smiling at a few things
& I thought I would share my smile with you:)

I have had the black & for probably
four years.
It has been in my closet & I just found it.
When I first bought it I knew it was cool
but if you have seen my house, it is kinda white:)
I couldn't find a good place for it but didn't want to get rid of it.
I have added bits & pieces of black lately.
This & almost jumped onto the porch.
Perfect!

This makes me smile:)

I am giddy about this cute girl!

I found her today for .99 at Goodwill.
She is a lavender pillow.
She most definitely makes me smile:)

I also found this little white milk glass
at Goodwill today for .99.

I love the old fashion look of it.
It takes my mind to a fun place:)

Last but certainly not least...
SIGH!
Aren't they breath taking?
I could stare at this all day:)

What is making you smile today?

My bottle opener collection.

Good Monday afternoon to you:)
I love collections:)
It seems I have many collections around my home.
My newest collection is bottle openers.
They have some pretty cool ones out there!

I love choosing different ones.

My mermaid is probably my fave.

Who doesn't love bling?

This old one has a perfect chippy color.

He is heavy & cool.

 He is cute.

Fun.

Perfect for Valentine's day.

Can't you see him clapping his fins?

What do you collect?

OOOPS, the picture of the starfish didn't turn out.
Isn't it sweet?!

It's party day:)

I am smitten:)

I found the metal cupcake holder at Goodwill.

Sammy made the rock hedgehogs:)

I found the double white containers at Goodwill
along with the owl.
I hot glued the owl to the white container.

All of the linens came from Goodwill
and are Pottery Barn, Ralph Lauren & Target shabby chic collection.
I washed them and they were like new.

I can't wait until the girls start arriving:)

Happy day!

Driftwood project

Hi guys:)

I hope this sunny day is treating you well!
I feel it is not meant to be for our family to pick blueberries
this summer!
We went up today to pick & they were closed again
for ripening:(
Soooooo frustrating!

Anyhoo,
I have been sitting looking at the
driftwood I collected a few weeks ago
from the beach.

Last night I decided to get my glue gun
out & create:

I added some bigger seashells.

I need to do something about the red cup holding
up the seashell.
I like how it turned out.

On a different note,
since we couldn't pick berries
we went to a park close by.
I ran into a fellow blogger who was there
with her kids.
You can check out her blog here:

On the way home we stopped by Bethany Nursery.
FYI:  All annuals are 50% off:)

Hope your Tuesday is wonderful!

Beauty

Happy Monday morning to you:)
At church Saturday night our pastor
challenged us to see God's goodness each day.
He encouraged us to look around at all of the
beauty that is our life.
Yesterday was my family picnic in Hood River.
On the way our family stopped at
Multnomah Falls for a hike.
At first I thought
"I have been here a thousand times
my kids have been here many times
can't we go somewhere else?"
Mr. SSH felt we didn't have a lot of time
before the picnic so this is where we were to go.

Here we are before we started on our journey.

As I walked I looked downward to all of the plant life:)
Isn't that berry pretty?

Look at that view.
How blessed we are to live in such a pretty area:)

Sammy's knee was hurting so we ended
our journey early.

Here is the rest of the family.
They made it to the top:)

My aunt & uncle have four acres in Hood River.
This is the view from their land.
Can you imagine seeing that every morning?

We saw many gliders during the afternoon.
Oh and do you spy that blue sky?
It was cloudy in Portland & beautiful in Hood River:)

This is their house and land.
My uncle is a log truck driver & loves antiques.

They have an under cover area where we ate.
It is quite fun to look at all of their antiques:)

It is like stepping back in time.

Yesterday I definitely seized the day to see beauty:)
My challenge for you today is to see beauty in everything:)

Old sugar sack re~used

Remember how I got many of these cute bags
at an estate sale?

I decided to fill a vase with flowers
& put the vase in the sack:)

Soooooo pretty!

I love reusing old things & making them new again:)

I hope your Saturday was wonderful
& your Sunday is restful:)

~Fill empty can of Limeade with tequila & pour in
~Fill can 1/2 full of orange liquor & pour in
~Pour in 1 bottle of flavored ale beer (I used orange ale)
~Stir and let sit for at least 45 minutes
~Serve

AMAZING!

Enjoy

Happy treasure hunting

Blueberries

I LOVE my blueberry bush!

Everyday I can count on about five blueberries.
I wish for more but Mr. SSH says it needs more sun.

A while back I spied this cute jelly bowl at Goodwill.

I think the blueberries look quite nice in here:)

On another outing a while back I found this cute bowl.

Another fun bowl for blueberries:)

Last weekend the SSH family & I went to pick
blueberries but they weren't quite ready ripe enough.
The sign said this weekend.
Can't wait!
We go off of Thompson Rd. in the Bonnie Slope area.

Where do you go to pick your blueberries?

Hope you find that sun today:)
