Outdoor cover ups for cheap

Good sunny Tuesday to all of you:)  I am writing this in my warm, sunny backyard.  I started using a new body lotion I got at TJ Maxx for cheap, it is olay old age or something.  The cool thing is I have sparkles all over me.  I'll have to take a picture of it and show you.  It is important for me to smile about the little fun things in life:)  I have had a migraine for 4 days.... ugh:(  If you have any ideas or medicine, let me know.  I have tried Excedrin Migraine, tylenol, ibuprofin, the chiropractor, nothing seems to work.

Anywhoo, I thought I would share with you some of my cheap finds to get your backyard areas ready for summer.  I always look at Goodwill in their curtain/shower curtain section.  This has provided me with amazing finds over the years.  I am way too lazy to clean all of my outdoor sitting areas so I simply find a curtain I like and drape it over chairs (after I wash it of course:) ).  I found this Pottery Barn slipcover, washed it and put it over my bench...

It is a great way to keep your sitting area looking more decorated, and you won't give you any splinters:)

We made the upper level of their play structure into a fort.  I just threw away last years window covers as they had been through an entire year of Oregon's weather.  I found this shower curtain for $2.99 and cut it up to cover both big openings in their fort.  It is a restoration hardware shower curtain:)  I love it.  I also used a shower curtain to cover up under the fort where we store all of the toys, chairs, etc.

I am so happy that I don't have to look at all of that junk from inside my house.

I love to listen to music when I am outside and so do my kids.  You can find a radio/CD player at Goodwill for under $10.00.  This way you won't be sad if it gets ruined or stolen.  I transfer this from the front porch to the backyard as I need it.

You don't have to spend a lot of money to make your yard presentable and relaxing:)

Happy Tuesday,

Dena
