Hiking by Mount Hood

I was blessed to be invited to a friends birthday party this past weekend. We went on a beautiful hike:

The trail was the Elk Meadows Trail.

It is right past Meadows Ski area.

We crossed two rivers.

Look at that view!

It was so pretty!

Here is the meadow at the top.

It was a 6 mile hike.

It felt good to put my feet in the ice cold water at the end of our hike!

One of the ladies in the group has a tradition of putting flowers around the birthday persons plate.  I love that idea:)

It was a good day!
