What a beautiful fall we are having!

Today while strolling the aisles of Goodwill I spied this:

 

 

I thought it was just a piece of fabric.

 

 

This is the end I saw with the unsewn edges.

 

 

I brought it home, washed & dried it & put it on my table.

That is when I saw that it was from Pottery Barn.

 

 

This is what I paid for it!

 

 

The cheapest table cloth I found on

Pottery Barn's website was $73.

 

 

While I find this fabric beautiful, I cannot imagine

paying that much money for it!

Can you?

I am soooooo happy that I found it.

It really is pretty.

Fall decorations.

I have been having fun thinking about how to decorate for fall:)

 

 

I found the burlap place mat on Friday at Stars.

I LOVE the way it looks:)

Mr. SSH however is pretty adamant that it needs to be gone!

He says it is from moldy, allergy ridden places:(

I found the metal bowl at Goodwill for $2.99.

I LOVE the color.

It screams fall to me.

Girl's day in SE Portland.

Today was one of those days for me that makes

me SMILE:)

Do you ever have days where you are with a good friend

and you are doing something you LOVE to do and it

seems as if the whole world is smiling?

Today I went with a good friend to SE Portland.

I recommend ALL of the stores we went to:

 

 

We started at Goodwill on SE 6th.

I think this is my favorite Goodwill store.

It is HUGE and has so many antiques:)

This is what I found:

 

 

I got this cool oil cloth coin purse for $1.99.

 

 

I got the trophy cup and put a sedum in it:)

I have been looking for a trophy cup and

I LOVE this one!

I am still looking for a big one.

 

 

I can't wait to put ice cream in this!

 

 

Doesn't ice cream taste better in a cute bowl?

 

 

After Goodwill we headed to Milwaukie St.

We had lunch at Marsee Bakery.

Their mocha cappuccino is amazing:)

 

 

We headed down the street for an afternoon of

Stars Antique stores:)

 

 

I found this picture & frame that I thought was

a PERFECT addition to my Halloween decor.

 

 

I also found this adorable

white old jar made by Watkins.

Does anyone know what might have come

in this jar?

We weren't sure if it was face cream or maybe

a spice?

 

 

I always stop by the little flower store next to Stars.

Today I bought this darling flower to go in my

new white jar:)

I am always amazed by the beautiful new flowers I find in there:)

Unique treasure find.

I cannot believe that we are just a few days from fall.

The weather has been better in September than most of the summer!

I wanted to share with you another treasure I found on Friday.

In all of my years treasure hunting, I have never spied one of these:

 

 

A real turtle shell!

 

 

Needless to say, Mr. SSH is not to happy about me bringing

yet another carcass into our home!

 

 

In fact,

no one in my family seems to appreciate

the coolness of this find!

one of my treasure finds from Friday.

 

 

This was supposed to be a stand.

I asked if I could only buy this piece

and not the stand and they said yes:)

Guess how much it was?

 

 

$5!

 

I knew that I wanted to make it a mirror.

 

 

We bought this mirror at Jo Ann Fabric for $3.99

and the glue for $2.99.

 

 

I love the patina on it:)

The woman who sold it said that her sister-in-law

gave it to her.  She is a jeweler.

 

 

I looked at the writing on the clasp and this is what I saw:

 

 

I am choosing to believe that it was made in France:)

 

 

The best part is it was only $2.50!
