It has been in the high 90's & even over 100 degrees
in Portland since Friday.
Our family went to Great Wolf Lodge this weekend.
On Friday I was waiting for Mr. SSH to get home
and I was all alone.
My kids were picked up by their grandparents
& taken to Great Wolf Lodge early.
It has been a month & a half since I have been home alone.
What is a girl to do when all alone on a HOT day?
Redecorate above the cabinets of course.
Up & down on the kitchen stools.

please don't tell Mr. SSH this as he just helped
me recover from knee surgery in May:)
I got a bee in my bonnet that it all had to be changed immediately!
Does this ever happen to you?
You are sitting on the sofa relaxing
& looking at your favorite decor magazine
when the bee flies into your bonnet
& you MUST change your above cabinet decor because
something isn't quite right?
I hope I am not alone on this!
Here is what I came up with:
You cannot believe how long this part took to get right.
I had the chalkboard up right, this way,
different writing...
I am still questioning this because it has a lot of black in it!
You cannot believe how dusty it is up there!
It is pretty gross!
I do love seeing the old cameras up here.
I like to put things on top of other things.
Mr SSH gets nervous that we are all going to have
cuts & concussions if ever there were an earthquake!
I like how the old camera looks on top of the glass vase with the coral on top of the camera:)
This was another area that took forever to put together.
I think in all I spent three hours putting all of this together.
Clearly I have something wrong with my brain:)
If you were to get up on a stool & see what I use to prop up my decor
you would spy soup cans, old coffee mugs, and cereal boxes.
If you look closely you will see a special K cereal box in this picture.
So, do you have space above your cabinets?
Do you decorate them?
Do you go up & down on a stool to fiddle?
