A good use of $3

Happy Thursday:)
Since I have been spending more time outside in my backyard
I decided to spruce up one of my containers.
I pulled out the old dead flowers.
I went to QFC and bought three plants for $3.
I threw the plants in the pot.
Waaaalaaaaa:

I know what you are thinking:
"I can't believe she picked white flowers!"

I was so excited when I spied these white cuties:)
Usually I want white and cannot find them.

I love the grayish color of the third plant.
It looks great with the white.

Now is the time to get your containers looking pretty:)
They have the ability to make you smile each time you look at them:)
What a great way to spend $3!

I hope you are having a fabulous night!

~Dena;)

Oh yeah:

Check out craigslist under garage sales, many in our area.
Two off of Saltzman by Findley elementary.
Neighborhood sale in Crystal Creek neighborhood.
One in Rock Creek.
Neighborhood sale in Jackson School Neighborhood.

Maybe I will see you at a sale:)

We found hundreds of whole sand dollars!

Good evening:)
I hope you are well.
As you all know, I LOVE seashells.
Last week we found seashell heaven for the Oregon coast~!
At one point Dylan said "the ocean is giving us too many seashells"
It was like we hit the jack pot.
We did the whoo hoo dance time and again plopping our sand dollars into our buckets.
We literally had to stop getting them because we ran out of buckets and arms.
Here they are in all of their glory:

I sprinkled them throughout the back yard.

We also found these large shells.
They are sooooo cool:)

I have never found so many of these scalloped shells before.

There is nothing better than hunting for seashells:)

On another note:

I am selling a few things on craigslist if you are interested.

This coffee table is $35

This is a Pottery Barn blanket cart for $25.

If you are interested, let me know:)

Hope your night is happy.

Back yard news.

Good morning.
Mr. SSH mowed yesterday.
Is there anything quite as nice as freshly mowed grass?

It looks so green:)

I have spent a lot of time in that chair over the last three days soaking up the sun.

The club house has been cleaned out from winter.

This is Dylan's new wall ball court:)

Mr. SSH & Dylan worked hard on this deck.

There is even a trap door to get into the neighbors yard to fetch balls:)
If you have been to our house you know our drive way is not conducive to good wall ball play!
Dylan is having a blast out here:)
Alex is using it to sun bathe.
Sammy is using it to have stuffed animal picnics.

Summer s going to be soooooo fun:)

Hope your day is amazing.

Let the sun shine in:)

What a fantastic, amazing, beautiful & magnificent day!
The sun is shining.
Baby birds are chirping.
Mr. SSH is back from Prague:)
All is right with the world.
The kids & I spent last week with my sisters family and my parents at the beach.
We found about 300 whole sand dollars:)
You know what that means,
I got to bring them ALL home with me:)
I will show pictures of our time soon.

Today was the day I got to pick Mr. SSH from the airport.
That means that I got to go a little early and check out Home Goods.
I don't know what it is about that store but it always has amazing stuff.

Doesn't that round rug make you smile?
This was the smallest size.
They had two bigger sizes also.
LOVE it:)

The cool wire basket I got from Goodwill for .99.
It is super fun:)
The starfish is also from Home Goods.
It also makes me smile:)

Many of you know that I am a sucker for beakers.
I found this puppy at my fave store for $1.99~ Sold.

I can always count on Trader Joes to have beautiful flowers.

Ohhhhhhhh:)
So pretty!

I hope the sun shone onto your day:)

A try at hand stitching:)

Happy Sunny Sunday to you:)
Yesterday was a whirl wind of getting the yard in order.
We even did bark dust which we haven't done in oh about 6 years!
What a difference fresh bark and a mowed lawn makes:)

During spring break I was in Seaside.
I found a framed hand stitched sign that I loved!
My friend Beth said I could make it for sure.
The framed sign was $20.
I decided to give it a go.
I found the Pottery Barn frame at Goodwill for $1.99 and I already had the thread and material.

Alex took a picture of the one I loved and I used a pencil on the material to write it out.

It isn't great but I think you can read the words:)

What do you think?

Hope your Sunday is fabulous!

Made in Italy & more.

If ever I spy something that says Made in Italy or Made in France I am a sucker for them.

Isn't that bird just cute?

I know, I need another tea cup like I need a whole in the head.

It is the little things that me happy people:)

I have been fiddeling with this area lately.

I took out the candles and put in some of my prettiest shells.

I will never get over how amazingly unique each is.

Isn't the sea horse neat?

On another note.
I took down my egg and put up this cute owl sticker:)

I hope your day is fabulous!

Shhhh, don't tell:)

If you know me at all you will know that I LOVE jewelry!

Sigh!
This little number called to me today:)

It doesn't hurt to look right.
This is what I always say to myself.

Once she was on my neck, she was mine:)
Isn't she sublime?

But wait, there is more:)

Givenchy & I had a little fling a few years back.

I haven't bought anything new for a while.
Givenchy flirted with me today.
I guess our fling is back on:)

I hope your Tuesday has been amazing!

I went to THREE garage sales today:)

Happy Friday:)
You could hear people sigh as they entered each garage sale:)
We were all so happy that our long wait had come to an end!~

Recently I have been on the look out for old silver trophy cups.
I still haven't found a big one.
This little one will have to do for now:)
I decided to put a plant in it.

I love how the yellow pops with the silver!
By the way, I am writing this as Mr. SSH lets Alex drive to get pizza.
She & I almost went into a ditch today.
She & I almost hit a dead skunk today.
This is supposed to take my mind off of the fact that she is going on new roads.
Please say a prayer for her and Mr. SSH's  safety!

Sigh!
I love it:)

This cutie was $1.
On the bottom is says made in Mulberry Ireland.
I think it is a flask:)

I found it a perfect home.
I found the white pot at the outlet store for 2.11.
It still had the Home Goods tag of $19.99 on it.
Who knew my home was missing an Irish flask!

Thanks Anita & Tina!
I had a fantastic day:)

Happy Friday!

This is my bike.

This is my new basket:)
From you know where for $1.99.
YEA!

This is exactly what I had envisioned for my bike!
Now I just need a little dog:)

I hope you guys have a fantastic day!

Score!

Today I went to the Goodwill outlet store.
I never know what I am going to find.
My heart skipped a beat when I spied this:

Look on the ground.
Do you see it?
I think it was used to go under your car to change oil.

The man next to me wanted to know what I was going to do with it.
I explained that it will be my footstool on my porch:)
I don't think he understands decorating.
He gave me the "you are nuts" look.

It makes my heart swoon.
Sigh:)

The best part was the price!
$3.00:)

So, my question to you is:
Do you think I am nuts or do you love it?

~Dena;)
