More Easter decoration ideas:)

Good snowy morning:)
Isn't it beautiful to see snow fall?
Mr. SSH was so helpful last night and now I have a blank memory card to fill with more pictures:)
Sooooo, where were we?

I found this moss bunny in the ugliest planter at Goodwill.
I yanked him out and propped him in this urn.
He is sooooo cute!

Not the greatest picture.... sorry.
Can you spy the three bunnies in this picture?
One in the frame on top of the hearts.
One white one on the silver candle stick.
One glass one on the white candle.

I plopped the white bunny on top of a piece of wood.

I cut out a bunny from burlap to put in the middle of this wreath I made.
I think I need to rethink burlap and maybe do a bunny from gray felt so it will pop.

I cut out an egg shape from fun fabric and added some sparkle.

Remember this frame?
I had a snowman made out of buttons in it for winter.
It looks like I removed him too soon!
I cut out some fun polka dot paper and added another egg.

I have begun decorating my front door wreath.

I guess my theme is "put a bunny on it"  :)

I hope your Wednesday is wonderful!

Decorating for Easter

Good Tuesday morning:)

I finally got my behind outside yesterday to tackle my rose bushes.
You see, some of the branches had grown to about 6 feet tall!
I think I may have forgotten to trim them last year.
Now they are trimmed and hopefully happy.

This post was to be all about my Sunday decorating however, my camera is full and I don't know how to get all of the pictures off.
Sooooooo, you get some of my decorations today.
Tonight I will beg Mr. SSH to help me with the camera and hopefully will get the rest posted tomorrow:)

My family spent Sunday skiing so that left me alone with my brain.
I decided I was done with the hearts and was ready for some bunnies.

I got out the hymnal book I got at the Goodwill outlet for $1 and went to the Easter section and traced bunnies.
I am still uncertain how I feel about cutting bunnies out of Easter songs.
I feel strongly about what Easter means but also enjoy decorating.
Is that bad?

I bought the bunny garland last year off of Etsy.

I used a cookie cutter as a template for the bunny garland.

Here is a picture of me and my friends getting flowers at my favorite place, Sammy's:)
Thanks friends, I had such fun:)

Just look at those beautiful flowers!
Doesn't it just make you smile?

I hope your Tuesday is amazing.

A jar full of smiles:)

Happy sunny Friday:)
I hope you are well.

I recently found a wonderful idea on a blog.
This family has a tradition of writing down family memories throughout the year that make them smile.
On New Years Eve they read all of their memories.
I couldn't wait to get started.

I grabbed a jar, put a ribbon around it and started writing.
So far we have:
Our Spiderman family movie night.
Alex & Sam baking together.
Mr. SSH "tuckling" Dylan into bed.
(Mr. SSH bounces Dylan up and down on his bed, tickles him and kisses him goodnight.)
Mr. SSH made apple pie and we ate it right out of the oven singing to Taylor Swift.

Such happy memories:)
My brain cannot remember anymore:(
This is why I need to write them down when they are happening!

I would love to hear some of your happy memories of this year.

Have a fabulous weekend.

Joy in the journey

Happy Tuesday to you all:)
I just returned from a women's retreat at the beach.
We studied joy in the journey.
At the flea market I went to a few weeks ago I found this:

I love this saying.
Time does march on.
We choose what our journey looks like.

Why not

Things that make me smile:)

Good Thursday to you all:)

It has been a while since I stopped and looked at things that make me smile:)

I really like the bird candle.
I recently found it for .99.
It seems more spring like than winter so I got out some birds:)

I love putting sedum in glass jars.
I put some burlap ribbon around the plant.

Coral looks good anywhere:)

I love the vintage look of this basket.
It looks like it belongs with a girl skipping in a field in the summer:)

I guess you figured out I have a basket fetish:)
I found this and thought it would make a great garbage can.

I inherited Mr. SSH grandmas heart cake pans.
She used to make heart cakes for birthdays.
I may have possibly stuck both pans together before they were dry and they may have rusted together.
Whoopsie!
I decided to cover said rust with felt and make it  Valentine's decor.

What makes you smile in your house?
I would love to see pictures of them:)

Have a Happy Thursday.

A chicken wire wreath

Happy Monday!
I found this wire wreath for .99 and thought I would use it to make a wreath.

I used pages out of an old dictionary that I got for $2.

At first I thought I could just put folded paper into the holes of the wreath.
I soon learned that this wouldn't work and had to get out my hot glue gun.
I think I went through 30 glue sticks!

My family went skiing yesterday leaving me with hours to craft.

I chose to leave some of the wire exposed.

I love how it turned out.
I had the three and decided to put it in the middle.
The 3 is for my 3 kids:)
Not sure if I am going to hang it by a ribbon or not.
Any thoughts?

I hope your day is successful.
I get to help deliver Girl Scout cookies.
Anyone else get to deliver cookies?

Valentine decor ideas:)

Happy Saturday to you!
I hope you are relaxing, taking time to smell the roses and remembering how blessed you are.

I got my scrabble pieces out along with my heart cookie cutters to do some decorating.

I took my tree out of the glass jar and replaced it with tiles spelling out love.
Try not to look at that dust:)

Do you think my kids will take this advice?

Another tree replaced with scrabble tiles.

A cute Goodwill silver heart.

A heart cookie cutter.
I am loving the Goodwill rolling pin.
I love that it is all cut out of one piece of wood.

This is a fun pancake heart mold.

Are you ready for Valentine's Day?
Our family decorated two boxes getting ready for class parties.
I've got to get to the store to get cards for the kids to fill out.
I also have to get family cards along with candies.
Do you have a special tradition for Valentine's Day?
I'd love to be one of those moms who has heart shaped everything for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
I may be able to get one item in a heart shape to serve.
It is fun having elementary age kids in the house because of all of the hubbub involved.

I hope your Saturday is amazing!

Chicken Feeder Trough.

Good Thursday morning!
I wanted to share with you another yummy I got from the flea market on Saturday:

A chicken feeder trough.

I took the handle off.

The man I bought it from asked how many chickens I had:)

I assured Mr. SSH that of course I washed it good.
I think it makes a great pencil holder.

I love turning old into new don't you?

I hope your Thursday is incredible.

Pillow transformation

Good morning.
This weekend I went to the Funky Junk Sisters flea market.
It was such fun to see such creative people under one building.
I loved every step I took.
I will show you the rest of my finds later.
I got this ribbon and this morning found a use for a little of it.

I love how crinkly it is.

This is one side of the pillow.
The other side is blank.

I got out my glue gun and started rolling and gluing the ribbon.

Here is the finished pillow.

So easy.
Too fun.
Makes me smile:)

I hope your Wednesday is wonderful!
