The internet is amazing sometimes:)

My anniversary gift came today.  Wayne took pictures of wildflowers when we were in Yellowstone and used my publisher to make me a hard covered book.

The book is full of the all of the different wildflowers we found in Yellowstone.  It is beautiful:)  What a wonderful gift idea.  With the holidays quickly upon us I thought I would share the website with you.  I think I see book making in my future:)

Here are some of the flowers in the book:

I was amazed at the variety of flowers and at how beautiful they were.  My flowers need tons of care and usually don't look this good.

I hope you all enjoyed this amazing Thursday as much as I did.

Have a sit and stay a while:)

I was sitting by the window this beautiful Tuesday evening having a glass of wine looking at other peoples blogs and thought you might want to pull up a seat:)

I love stealing some time in blog land looking at other peoples ideas.  Here are some of my favorite:

I would love to know which blog you enjoyed the best.

I hope your evening is relaxing:)

It's time to decorate:)

Good rainy Monday morning to you all:)

I have the Halloween decorating bug.  I have been getting my creative juices flowing.  I LOVE Halloween:)  I have been busy getting my house ready for the big day, only 36 more days:

I love the chalkboard bat.  I found it at New Seasons for cheap.  It is a great way to keep track of the count down.

The spider makes me smile:)

I am a die hard Beavers fan even if we are losing this season:(  I found the Beaver helmet this weekend at a garage sale.

My witches hat says "The witch is in", love it:)  My friend Anna made the bird next to the mirror:)

Michaels has all of their Martha Stuart Halloween stuff 30% off.  The bat garland was only 2.00.

The black ribbon has little spiders on it.

The black chandelier was 40% off at Michaels.  It had purple baubles and I traded them out for clear ones.

Do you have any fun decorating ideas?  I would love to see/hear about them:)

I hope your Monday is amazing!

Happy Autumn!

I LOVE Autumn!  Every year I think of when my kids were young and we would watch the Barney movie about Autumn.  I love the crispness in the air and the crunching of the leaves:)

I am off to treasure hunt.

Happy Friday

Good to know...

Good Thursday  morning to you all,

This post was supposed to be sent yesterday but I had a little problem.  You see, most smart people would know this little tip, I however, must have needed an example to understand the need for this little tip.  I found this stool at Goodwill half off and decided my feet would enjoy being placed on it.

For most of you this would look beautiful just the way it is.  You know me, I like my white so I went off to Michaels to get my handy dandy white spray paint.  I brought the can home Sunday and went to spray and it was broken... ughhhhh!  I went back Tuesday and bought another which did work.  Yesterday I went to unscrew the feet to paint and when all screws were out it was still stuck to the fabric ughhhhh.   I am beginning to think I wasn't meant to spray paint these legs.  So yesterday afternoon I went out to the sunny yard got down low with a piece of cardboard to protect the fabric, shook the paint and sprayed.  Whoopsies, I had the nozzle pointed at my face!  Luckily no paint came out but the fumes did in my eyes and into my mouth.  Needless to say I now know what huffing is and let me just say it is HORRIBLE!  I could hardly breathe most of the night and had a pounding headache.  Of course last night was also curriculum night at the elementary school.  I was not quite my normal self.  Anywhoo, here is the final project.  It doesn't look great but I am not in any hurry to get out that spray paint.

Clearly I need to repaint up by the fabric, I will get to that later.

I hope your day is wonderful!

An easy Halloween banner.

Good sunny, blue sky Tuesday morning to you:)

I hope you are enjoying this amazing weather we are having!  I know I am.

I went into Pottery Barn last week and got inspired to do some Halloween projects.  I found these items at Michaels for cheap plus 40% off.

Recollections die cut shapes and Halloween black ribbon.  I put whole punches into the die cuts and strung them together.

I chose to keep out the skeleton heads:)

A fun cheap way to get cute Halloween decor into your home.

Do you have any fun Halloween decor ideas?  Let me know:)

Hope your day is amazing!

An old chalkboard.

This weekend I happened upon a Sunday afternoon garage sale and spied this:

This is what it looked like when I bought it.

I cleaned it up, and repainted the white border.

I didn't like the green so I painted it with black chalkboard paint... much better:)

The best part was it was only $3.

Don't you just love garage sales?

Happy sunny Monday:)

Not ready for fall until...

I usually can't wait at the beginning of the school year to decorate for fall.  This year, I am trying to cling to summer.  I found this at my favorite store and decided I could have one decoration for fall:

She says "hello deary wanna smooch?"

I LOVE her:)

Are you ready to decorate for fall?

Happy Sunday

Lost & found.

Good morning:)

I am a purse girl.

I change my purses often.

I am LAZY.

Two days ago I got a cold sore.... ughhh!

I just bought the Abreva 4 months ago at a whopping $20.

Could I find it?

NO!

I searched at least 20 purses and didn't find it...

However, I found 10 lost lipsticks, and two pair of earrings.  One of which are my favorite and have been lost for one year.... YEAH:)

I had to buy more Abreva but I found many lipsticks, and earrings.....

Has this happened to you before?

Happy Friday!

I am off to treasure hunt:)

I am truly blessed.

Good Wednesday morning,

Twenty years ago today I married a wonderful man:)  I am so glad he chose me!

Speaking of wonderful, my husband spent one and a half hours cutting ivy roots and digging a hole for my hydrangea:)

I am going to Home Depot today to get some bark dust.

We have 23 laurels in our backyard that provide amazing privacy and produce 1,000's of dead leaves.

I am so glad we made the decision to plant all of these laurels.  If you need privacy, this is the plant for you.

These leaves filled up an entire yard debris bin.

This time of year always gets me excited to clean up my yard.

I hope your Wednesday is fabulous,

A plant in a shell.

Plants and a shell my two favorite things:)

Remember yesterday I said I went to Cornell Farms?  I spied this cute mini violet.

Such fun:)

I hope you have a fabulous Tuesday!

The joy of hydrangeas:)

On a whim today I went to Cornell Farms.  I love this nursery but the prices tend to be high.  I spied some amazing blue hydrangeas and they were 40% off!

This is where my new plant will go as soon as I can sweet talk my husband into digging a big hole:)

This is what it will look like planted.

Look how big the blooms are.

I think the blue hydrangea screams the beach:)
I have had a constant smile since I purchased this plant:)

I hope you all have plants in your yard that make you smile:)

Happy Monday,

I feel like dancing!

I spent most of last week up in my storage space in the garage going through 14 years of life.  I don't think I have ever sweated so much.  I feel like an almost butterfly still in my cocoon but slowly poking through.  It is amazing how much one accumulates in 14 years.  My kids are all getting to the age where I can start getting rid of a lot.  With all of this said I took five garbage bags full of toys, books and clothes to Northwest Children's Outreach, had a garage sale and took a van load to Goodwill.  Whew do I feel a lot lighter:)  I highly encourage this purging.  It truly feels great to not feel so weighed down.  I have a long way to go but it is good to at least be on my way.

I hope you all had a fabulous weekend.

Deviled Eggs.

I was browsing my favorite store Goodwill yesterday and spied this:

Of course the eggs weren't on the plate:)

Since it was the first day of school I thought I would surprise my kids with deviled eggs.

My oldest daughter has had allergies to eggs her whole life so my kids haven't had the opportunity to enjoy them.  I have been using them much more since my oldest isn't allergic anymore.  I was so excited to show them my creation:)  They were disgusted with the look of them:(  I told them to PLEASE try a bite so they did and promptly spit it out.  Here I thought I was going to get a big "thanks mom these are great".  Oh well, I really enjoyed them:)

Have you done this before?

Happy Wednesday!
