It is a sunny Friday in Oregon:)

There is nothing like a sunny summer day in Oregon!  I love to have parties:)    My backyard is all dressed up and ready for a party:)

I purchased the huge umbrella for $5 at a garage sale last summer.  It didn't come with a stand so my wonderful husband had to engineer one.

If you are reading this consider yourself invited to cocktails at my house today from 3:30 - 6:00.  I will provide the cocktails:)  Please bring something yummy to share.

I hope to see you soon.

Happy Friday!

There is something about sterling silver.

Good sunny Thursday evening to you:)

I have never been into sterling silver.  Pottery Barn keeps putting pretty sterling silver into their stores and all of a sudden my eyes are drawn to silver.  Does that ever happen to you?  I have found myself looking very closely to the silver at Goodwill.  Here are a few of the treasures I have found for pennies compared to Pottery Barn:

This will be pretty to serve my mom's gravy at Thanksgiving.

I don't know if one can ever have too many candle holders.

These spoons won't be serving fancy things at my house but they might make my dish taste better?  I can hope:)

I hope you have a wonderful evening!

Everything tastes better with this glass:)

Good Wednesday to you:)

You all know I have a thing for pretty glasses.  I recently found this one and I must say I smile each time I put a drink of any kind in it :)

I love it when something speaks to me as this glass does:)

I hope your day is sunny:)

Cheap table runner.

Good Tuesday afternoon to you:)

I recently found myself at Pottery Barn drooling over their table runners.  One was so simple, white with two blue stripes on each side and it was on sale:)  On sale at Pottery Barn means it was still $22.99.  Too expensive for my budget.  My favorite store saved me again:

Goodwill had all of this material for $2.99 which is more up my alley.

The cutting was easy because of the lines on the fabric:)

I love how it turned out.  I also like it because I could cut it to size so you could still see the jute runner.  If I would have bought the Pottery Barn runner I wouldn't have felt comfortable cutting it to size.

The flowers in the silver urn were growing in a field by the park by our house.  I had such fun getting a bouquet for my table:)

I still have a lot of fabric left to do more fun crafts with:)

I hope your Tuesday is all you want it to be!

Glass holder.

Good Monday to you:)

I found a drawer to an old card catalog and decided to make it into a glass holder.

I love how old and warn it looks.

Any ideas on what else I could store in here?

Have a spectacular Monday,

From trash to treasure.

Good Sunday afternoon to you:)

I love the vintage linen on the table:)

This lovely (some may call it trash) was $1.  As soon as I saw it I knew what I could do:

It makes a perfect table.

I hope your Sunday is wonderful!

A sunny, glorious treasure hunting day:)

Good Saturday night to you all:)

We in Oregon are SMILING tonight because the sun was out ALL day:)  It is amazing what a blue sky day will do to your mood.  I hope the sun is shining where you are too:)

Today while treasure hunting for I spied this and it was only $5:

I have always wanted one of these but always found them to be $40 or more which is way too much for a bargain hunter like me.  When the nice lady said $5 I gave her my money before she could change her mind:)  I know it is an antique and I should leave it alone but you know I am a white girl.  I got out my screw driver and unscrewed the handle and got ready to paint.

Amazingly the handle came off right away.

Of course no project goes perfect and I ran out of spray paint.  I decided I might like it not quite all painted.  I am going to live with it for a while.

I had such fun decorating the boxes.

I used the labels and shells I got from my friend.

I got the brown vintage bottle at a sale this weekend.  It still has the stopper that the doctor used to keep the medicine in.

Here is the final product.  I really am glad I spray painted it white.

I can't wait to show you more treasures that I found:)

Happy night,

Dena:)

Easy to make hanging candle holders.

Good  Friday morning to you all:)

Isn't that flower in the middle of the white cool?  I found it at New Seasons in Beaverton yesterday:)

I have posted a new blog called French Larkspur.  As I was going through her blog I spied a cute project.  She took containers that you start seedlings in, cut them individually and put small bouquets of flowers in them and hung them on her chandelier.  I decided to try her project but put votives in instead.

Here are my containers.

I cut them into individual containers.

I punched two holes in each.

I got out my glue gun and my ribbon.

I glued the ribbon and gems onto the container.

I found my twine.

I hung them on my chandelier and put in a battery operated votive.

I love how this turned out:)

Thank you French Larkspur!

Happy Friday to you:)

I am off to treasure hunt,

Have a good weekend!
