It's beginning to look a lot like winter

If you know me you know that I have a "thing" for standing on stools, couches, chairs, window sills, anything that I can stand on to get my decorating done:) well...... Last night I was trying to put these stars on the string individually:

I was balancing one foot on the stool and one foot on the counter when the stool tipped over and I fell to the floor.

I am not moving well today:(. But don't the stars look nice?  :)

I got out for a few hours yesterday and headed to NW 23rd.

I found this cutie at Kitchen Kaboodle 50% off.

I found the wool log plant holder 50% off at Sammie's Flowers:)

I got some snowmen out of storage:)

I got the log wreath 50% off at TJ Maxx.

I found the Happy New Year banner at World Market.

Put some snowmen on my wreathe.

Redid my outside wreathe.

I put her majesty up:)

Aren't they cute?

I love the ice skates:)

Our family is blessed with all of us home for the break:) we got our family Christmas present early:

A new TV for upstairs. We still had one of those 500 pound ones:) (our bedroom still has one too). To say this space above the garage was a disaster was an understatement! This is Mr. SSH man cave. He spends hours up there. One of the gifts he gave me was to clean it up:) I really can't let him get all of the credit for the mess as this is what was mine that came out and was given to Goodwill:

We also got rid of our old TV stand.

We found this one at the Restore for $35!

It works perfect for this space.

The room isn't perfect.....

But sooooooo

Much better:)

It is crazy how much stuff we have collected over the years! Do you purge at the end of the year?

Habitat for Humanity Restore

On a daily basis I drive by The Habitat for Humanity Restore. Yesterday I decided to have a look and I am so glad I did:

This is a brand new rug from Orchard's that was $5.  They had one more left.

Got this wood tree

For $10! They had three left.

I also spied marble slabs, tile, paint, pretty light fixtures, pretty sinks and doors:)

It has been a pretty scary past few days at our house. Last week Alex was diagnosed with viral meningitis. Not something a mom wants to hear! Thankfully you can't die from this but it is a very painful sickness. Please pray for a quick recovery:)

I thought I would pop in and share a few things:

I got these glass ornaments and thought they would be fun on my chandelier:)

I love finding a dual purpose for ornaments:)

A friend got me the frame and I printed the picture off of the internet. This is a great gift idea that doesn't cost a lot/)

I hope this week is treating you well!

I am doing much better today than yesterday. Yesterday a huge panic attack came over me as I heard that what I had done for my teacher license renewal wasn't enough and I would have to do 27 hours of online courses in about two weeks! I don't like who I become when it is after hours and I can't get ahold of anyone to get my questions asked..... In a panic I started a six hour online course and did three hours of it last night. Of course today I was able to speak with a live person at the state who assured me what I had done was fine. Sigh... Do you sometimes freak out and not wait patiently for an answer before you dive in doing extra? I hope there is at least one of you out there:). Any who, today my heart swooned over:
