Pumpkins and fake plants

I hope you enjoyed the spectacular weekend:) we took a hike in the gorge yesterday and it was a perfect early fall blue sky day:)

Whoopsies..... I may have killed these plants...

I picked these fake succulents up from Pottery Barn on clearance today.

I put the fake plants in along with some mini white pumpkins...

Much better don't you think?

I also put a few mini pumpkins in this old wooden bowl and plopped a black boot on top:). Did I mention how much I LOVE Halloween?  :)

It's beginning to look a lot like Halloween

If you could have been a fly on the wall at my house last night you would have seem me singing and dancing as I put out my Halloween decor. I LOVE Halloween! It makes me so happy to find old friends in my decor:

It is official as of 7:29pm tonight... It is autumn.

I am not sure how I feel about this because fall is one of my favorite times of the year... Football, crunchy leaves, Halloween, candy corn. But the end of summer usually means rain.  I waited until tonight to put up a few decorations:

On Friday I went to several garage sales. It was one of those days that reminded me of how much I love garage sales... Let me count the ways:

Two brand new Pottery Barn pillow cases for $1 each:)

Pottery Barn cases in blue and cream two of each for $6 total.

This glass vase for $8.

I put plants from another spot in here.

I changed it from this...

To this.

It was a great day!

23 amazing years:)

Today is Mr. SSH and my 23rd anniversary:)

We have been so blessed!

Last night we went to Casa Del Matidore for dinner and then to Chapman Elementary School to see the swifts:

What a pretty old school:)

Kids slide down the hill on cardboard waiting for the swifts to go to sleep:)

Many families come.

This is the chimney that they call home for three weeks in September.

Those black smudges are swifts!

Every night beginning around 7:00 they start circling.

Slowly, each swift goes into the chimney. It is truly a must go to event!
