A seashell wreath made from Oregon & Mexico shells

Good Monday to you:)

I successfully made it through another sixth month chiseling at the dentist☺

 Mr. SSH only has to go once a year and is out of there in twenty minutes! No daily flossing! So NOT fair! 

Anyhoo, I got busy yesterday making a seashell wreath using a .99 floral wreath I found at Goodwill.

I wrapped it with fabric I already had.

I had such fun hunting for just the right shell:)

I love all of the blues and greys in the shells.

I saw many of these at the beach that local artists had made. Their price, $79! My price~ .99!

Not too bad right?

This past week was our spring break. A friend and I took our kids to the beach for three nights. I often get away to the beach at spring break. The goal is always to find a quaint beach house for as little money as possible. This year I found a house that was pretty quirky. As our kids said, "this place kind of grows on you." I thought I would share some of the art work that was in this house:

Boy does time fly when you are having fun!

Yesterday afternoon started with Def Leopard music, candles and a mocha☺

Followed by some lemon drops... Yum!

Ahhhhhh, pure indulgence!

It finally stopped raining long enough to run to the beach:)

We have already snuck out today between rain storms:)

In my house spring break isn't spring break without the beach:)

I picked up some flowers at a local shop for the house we are renting.

Grabbed an espresso.

And we were off to the beach:)

Welcome Spring

What a pretty last couple of days!

Mr. SSH has been busy!

Our dryer broke the night before we left for Mexico. He ordered a part to fix it.... That didn't fix it:( New part ordered. Wish us luck! We are clothes lining it in the garage.

I also caught him planting tulips:)

My love bank is overflowing:)

These are bulbs he planted this fall:)

What a nice guy!

My room at school is an outside portable. I put up a sign to welcome spring... It got a little wet:(

I also made a bird house:)

I LOVE working with first and second graders! They get as excited as I do:)

Adios from Troncones, Mexico

Mr.SSH and I are returning to reality today.

It is always bitter sweet leaving!

My skin is fried, my stomach is one big avocado and my brain has had enough down time:)

I cannot thank Mexico enough for their hospitality!

It is always so refreshing to be in a place where the big concern is if the waves will be surfable or not:)

The beauty here is so eye catching.

We had a wonderful meal at Casa Eden.

It was salsa night.

Great food and live music.

For lunch we took a two minute walk into Majhua for lunch at Marta's.

We had another relaxing day in Troncones!

We started the day at Manzanillo Point with Mr. SSH boogie boarding.

This is where I sit and read my book:)

It is really relaxing.

Tonight we went in search of the sea turtles

We found them:)

They were pretty

Here is where they are moved after their mama lays their eggs.

Only three were let go tonight.

It was dark and they asked us not to use a flash.

They will let the remainder go tomorrow night when they are more awake.

Such an amazing miracle to witness!
