Love of metal calendars:)

Good Tuesday to you:)
I hope your day has been a good one!
As many of you know,
I have a thing for collections:)
This particular collection started with this:

I had searched for a long time for this!
I found it at Goodwill.

I found this one at Pottery Barn.

At an estate sale a few weeks ago I spied this:

It is in German!

What a fun find:)

What do you collect?

Enjoy your night,

~Dena:)

Smores, sidewalk chalk and dogs:)

Happy Sunday to you:)
I hope you are all enjoying your three day weekend!
Last night we had such fun enjoying our children, dogs and neighbors:)

This is

Rigley & Coda.
They belong to our neighbors.
They had such fun playing and chasing each other:)

The kids had fun drawing:)

We had a big fire:)

Look at those yummy marsh mellows:)

We are so blessed to have such great neighbors!

Do you have great neighbors?
What did you do last night?

I hope you day is wonderful!

Happy in the rain:)

Good rainy, soggy, wet Wednesday to you:)
I hope this day finds you well!
It feel like it is winter here in Portland!
We even had to turn on the heat because it was 62 degrees
in our house!
YIKES.... that is cold:(

One of the jobs I have is cleaning a persons home off of NW 23rd.
I always look forward to cleaning her house because
it is so close to so many good things:)

My first stop after cleaning was Sammy's Florist:)

There isn't a way to be in a bad mood after visiting this flower store:)

Next I went to Pottery Barn.
It is so soothing to walk about in this store!
My creativity juices really get going.

Lastly, I went to Good Will:)
These are from Anthropologie
and are teaspoons in the shape of a shell:)

It is hard to see what the sign says...
BEACH:)

This bucket says:

Shell seeker:)
It was as if someone dropped off items just for me:)

Lastly,
I found this frame that had little pockets you could put things in.

I cut out pictures from a beach book I had
and glued letters onto the fabric.

What a fun day even in the rain:)

How was your day?

Backyard ambiance:)

Good Sunday to you:)
Yesterday was a good day at our house!
I have had this idea in my head for about three months now.
Last weekend Mr. SSH and I went to Fred Meyer's to
purchase outdoor lights.
Yesterday in the rain Mr. SSH put them up for me:)

They

make

me
SMILE:)

I hope your Sunday is amazing!

Whoopsies!

Good Friday to you:)
My poor family sometimes suffers from
my lack of a brain by the end of the work week!
Dylan had a friend over and I had bought a tube of
Nestle Toll House cookie dough.
I thought I would be a "good" mom and bake some cookies.
How can you mess this up you ask?
I put the dough on the cookie sheet,
plopped them into the oven,
set the timer....
got on the phone........

YIKES!

I remembered the cookies...

Does this ever happen to you?
This used to be unusual for me when I didn't work
outside of the house.
Since I have been substitute teaching,
my brain is on fumes by Friday........

The good news was my kiddos didn't care that they were crisp:)
They ate ALL of them!

Happy Friday!

Say hello to Half Moon Bay, California

Good Monday to you:)
I hope you are well and that all of you mom's enjoyed
your special day yesterday!
I did:)
While in California visiting a friend we took
a detour on the way to San Fransisco Airport to
Half Moon Bay.
This is a beautiful seaside town that reminded me of the Oregon beach.

I am told that this was a really great day at Half Moon Bay.
It is close to San Fransisco and is fogged in a lot of the time.

My toes touched the sand for a few minutes:)

I LOVE it when trees lean over like this:)
Only at the beach does it seem to do this.

Sigh......

The flowers

were

STUNNING!

I felt like I was in Mexico walking past this shop:)

My friend Margie & I:)

We may have had ice cream:)

Happy day!

On vacation in Danville, California

Good Wednesday to you:)\
I am in Danville, California with my good friend Margie:)
Let me walk you through my day:

We started my day at Anthropologie:)
After getting up at 5am and flying to San Fransisco
and getting lost and picking up Josie:)
I LOVE that the employees make all of their decorations:)

They look like real sea urchins:)

I LOVE that the workers made this:)
It looks like a real flower

This is Josie showing off Antrhopologie's necklace:)

Did I mention how much I love the decor at Anthropologie!

Anthropologie is located at this wonderful place.

You can purchase duck food and feed them:)

Such a fun day!

I hope your Wednesday is wonderful!

Hiking in Portland

Happy Sunday to you:)
We in Portland have had the most AMAZING weather!
It is unheard of to have an entire week in May that is dry
not to mention in the 70's and 80's!
There is something about the sun that makes people nicer:)
They smile, have more patience and are "lighter".
You know what I am talking about if you live here:)
Mr. SSH and the kids got up early to head to Mt. Hood
for some spring skiing.
Unfortunately, no one in our family has a smart phone soooooooo
Mr. SSH didn't get the 7am notice that the ski lift was closed due to
high winds...... :_
They fam drove home and let us just say Mr. SSH wasn't too happy......
Mr. SSH (Seashell home)
LOVES to hike so we went on a quick afternoon hike.

These hiking trails are right next to the zoo.

Mr. SSH got me walking sticks:)
My knees are SO bad that I don't always love to hike.
I must say these made the hike pain free:)
They are selling these right now at Costco for $25.

We didn't get far when Sammy spied this:)

She blew and blew and blew.
Finally she had to remove the seeds with her fingers!

This was our view!
Mt. St. Helens in front and Mt. Rainier in the back.
Absolutely breath taking!

Dylan held up Mt. St. Helens.

So Sammy held up Mt. St. Helens:)

Aren't my boys handsome?!!!!!

Everywhere we looked we saw blooms:)

I love the different colors of green:)

Are

you

relaxed

Yet?

I know I am!

There is something about nature that makes you slow down a bit
and take it all in:)

~Dena;)
