It is a white curtain.

 

 

Yes, it is Pottery Barn:)

 

 

And it was only $4.99.

 

 

I washed & dryed it and decided to keep it wrinkly:)

I love the way it looks ruffly!

Brand NEW dishwasher:)

I hope this day finds you well!

Like many of you I had a 12 year old white dishwasher.

Not that there is anything wrong with being 12 or

the dishwasher being white.

I got my new stainless steel refrigerator about three

years ago.

Ever since I have been dreaming of the day that

I get a beautiful, new stainless steel dishwasher

and microwave/oven set.

Well......

two weeks ago an opportunity came up to buy

a stainless steel dishwasher.

You would be soooooo

proud of me because I asked Mr. SSH (my husband) first:)

He said YES!

I have been helping a friend of mine move and

her mother is moving into her old house.

I spied a beautiful stainless steel dishwasher all

wrapped up in her garage.

She said that she got it four years ago and it is going

into her beach house.

She got it at Lowe's for $300.

It was a $970 dishwasher!

A customer had returned it and there was nothing wrong with it.

I begged her to please call me if ever she found a deal like this again.

She had looked for four years for another and hadn't found any....

She hit the jackpot for me a few weeks ago:

$270 for my new dishwasher:)

My tulips that I bought last week

were on their last legs.

I was at the store today and spied

some BEAUTIFUL hot pink carnations.

I was able to make many mini arrangements

out of the bouquet.

I went a little Anthropologie with some of

the arrangements:

 

Have you ever walked into Anthropologie?

I always salivate over their decor:)

Last year they used white beans as part of their decor.

 

 

I took a drinking glass that I love and put

a small vase in the middle.

I filled around the vase in the cup with white beans.

I then added water to the base and cut flowers to go in.

 

 

I LOVE how this looks:)

 

 

These flowers not only smell good but look good too.

 

 

January seems to be a month where I need to bring some

sunshine into my home.

Flowers do the trick for me:)

Disco party at The Nines

Mr. SSH had his work holiday party

in downtown Portland at The Nines Hotel last night.

We had such fun!

The theme was disco.

Mr. SSH even danced the night away with me:)

I am going to share a possibly embarrassing part of who I am:

Today while out Goodwilling with a friend

I found myself wearing the same leggings

that I blogged about yesterday.

Every few steps I had to stop and yank on them.

As I was walking around Goodwill I spied these boots:

 

 

They are made by Rocket Dog.

 

 

I then found this skirt:

 

 

I was about to go sub at a high school.

 

I was sooooooo tired of pulling up my leggings!

Yes.......

the same ones I talked about LOVING yesterday!

These wouldn't stay up!

It was soooooo exhausting!

Sooooooooo

after I bought the boots & skirt

I changed in the entry way of Goodwill!

I tore off the price tag of the skirt and put it on

and took off the shoes I had on and put on the boots!

I just may be CRAZY!

But I must say.....

I felt sooooo much better!

I stopped pulling up my leggings.

I know......

I didn't even wash the skirt before I put it on.

This is so not like me.

Have you ever been so not okay with what you are wearing

that you can't even wait until you get home to get out of something?

I hope at least one of you out there

has felt this way before and acted on it:)

Pants LOVE

Did anyone spy the snow falling this morning?

It was soooooo pretty!

I have to share a new find with you...

 

 

These are leggings by Hue.

 

 

You buy them in the tights department.

 

 

They look just like real pants.

 

 

Except they are totally stretchy and without a button and zipper.

They are AMAZING!

Soooooooo comfortable!

I am in LOVE!

I may never wear actual pants again!

 

 

Do you own these leggings?

Maybe I am the last person to hear of this invention!

I am sold!

This is always a tough time of year for me.

I REALLY miss the blue sky and the sun!

It doesn't take much to make me smile though.

I love this time of the year in the stores because

Christmas ornaments are on a HUGE discount.

I like to use them as winter decor:

 

 

Both the ice skates and snowman are ornaments.

They make wonderful winter decorations:)

Winter decorating

I thought I would show you some of my winter decorating.

 

 

I love snowmen!

I kept up some of my trees from Christmas.

Ice skates are perfect decorations for winter:)

This is a snowman I got last year.

 

 

I enjoy putting out snow signs around the house.

 

 

 

 

 

Anything glittered is wonderful in my book:)

 

 

I used fake snow for this snowman.

 

 

 

 

I found the JOY sign at Goodwill.

I think JOY can be up all year long don't you?

 

 

 

 

 

I think trees work great this time of year.

 

 

I also believe flowers are super important this time of year.

They make me smile:)
